CIC About Classic Sailing Community Interest Company

CIC – Classic Sailing Community Interest Company – Business Partners

CIC – Business

The Business Partners of Classic Sailing CIC scheme brings together organisations that share an interest in widening access to traditional sailing, preserving maritime skills and supporting Cornwall’s rich maritime heritage.

Business Partners are organisations that work alongside the CIC through financial support, practical assistance or by sharing specialist knowledge that benefits the wider sailing community. The emphasis is on building long-term relationships rather than traditional sponsorship.

Many Business Partners will contribute educational articles and practical information that remain available on the Classic Sailing website as a permanent resource. Subjects may include marine trades, fishing, sailing clothing, travel insurance, boatbuilding, conservation, hospitality and other aspects of Cornwall’s maritime economy. Each contribution is intended to inform and interest readers while reflecting the expertise of the organisation involved.

This category will contain:

  • Information about the Business Partners scheme.
  • Profiles of participating organisations.
  • Links to educational articles contributed by the Business Partner.
  • News and reports about partnership activities.
  • Announcements relating to the development of the scheme.

Founding Business Partners

The first organisations joining the scheme before the published deadline may be recognised as Founding Business Partners of Classic Sailing CIC.

Founding Business Partner is a permanent recognition awarded to those organisations that supported the scheme from the beginning. It is not the name of the overall programme.

After the Founding period closes, new organisations may continue to join as Business Partners of Classic Sailing CIC, while the original participants retain their Founding Business Partner recognition. This distinction preserves the contribution of the first organisations while allowing the Business Partners scheme to continue to develop in future years.
