However long you spend at sea, there is always something more to learn and somewhere new to explore. Every sailing ship handles differently, and has a different way of doing things. The nature of the sea is such that even sailing the same boat along the same route at the same time of year, you will encounter something novel, some particular interaction of wind, tide and sails, and you will learn something new (either about the boat, or about yourself).
Here at Classic Sailing we are dedicated to helping you find your next adventure, the trip that will push you in all the right ways. We talk a lot about how welcoming the ships in our fleet are to beginners, but the same is true for experienced sailors. Crews love to have an extra seasoned hand on board, and will go out of their way to ensure that you find something challenging to do.
Here are a few ways you could get adventurous with your next trip, but be assured that whichever voyage you choose will be a learning experience.
Chalk up some night hours: join a voyage with 24hr sailing, and form part of a navigational watch.
