Sailing & Yoga – Coastal Retreats to Boaty Fitness Camps

The sailing holiday ethos on pilot cutter Tallulah is very much a celebration of healthy coastal living. Sailing ships with blocks and tackles are pretty good for a satisfying all body workout. If you add rowing, paddleboarding and a bit of wild swimming or coastal running, your body is going to need some downtime too.

We are piloting 2 voyages this year with a yoga teacher on board for the whole trip. As luck would have it, we happen to know the perfect person for the job.

A pilot cutter as your blue gym

Introducing our Yoga teacher Sophie Mydlarz

Through the ups and downs of Covid lockdowns Sophie Mydlarz of ‘Recharge Therapy,’ has kept Cornwall residents sane through some small group yoga sessions on remote beaches and uplifting beauty spots. Tallulah’s skipper Debbie and Adam at Classic Sailing have been her appreciative students for many years and we enjoyed the downward dogs, often very close to nature and the waves.

Sophie takes to the sea with Debbie on pilot cutter Tallulah in May and July this year.

Sophie has been in the alternative health and yoga industry for over 20 years. She is no stranger to sailing boats and has worked on superyachts in the Mediterranean with the rich and famous. From an early age she travelled the world as her motivations and skill set changed from massage and beauty to yoga and more holistic practices to re connect with your body, recover from injuries and recharge your energies.

Come and sail with Skipper Debbie and Sophie on Tallulah as we pilot two very different sorts of voyages – with yoga of course.

Sun, Sand & Yoga in cornwall

Sailing Retreat

Fri 13th – Mon 16th May 2022

Starts & Finishes in St Mawes, Cornwall

3 nights /4 days £495 max 5 guests

Welcoming upto 5 solo travellers or couples for a refreshing weekend out on the water in Cornwall. Pilot Cutter Tallulah sails with Debbie as your skipper and Sophie Mydlarz onboard for the 4 days as our resident yoga teacher.

This is 3 day coastal wandering under sail with no pressing agenda other than to leave the troubles of the land ashore and get some wind and salt in our hair. There are many anchorages along the Roseland and Lizard Coast, Helford River, or further afield to Mounts Bay to the west and or towards Fowey and the Devon border when the winds are good.

There will be a maximum of 5 guests with Skipper and mate who both like cooking, and yoga instructor Sophie, who loves paddleboarding and other outdoor activities. Solo travellers welcome, but we also have a lovely double bed cabin for couples.

This voyage offers freshly cooked meals – typically a mix of vegetarian, meat and fish. You are welcome to bring alcohol to drink with evening meals, but soft drinks will be available too. We can cater to special diets if you ask when you book.

The boaty bootcamp below is alcohol free and vegetarian – if you want a proper detox.
