Pilgrim Customer Reviews

Amazing and wonderful!

I have sailed on a number of ships over the last few years, but Pilgrim will stay in my memory. The ship itself is an important piece of sailing heritage, but it was the people that made it special.

The good humour, enthusiasm, and professionalism was very impressive and made the voyage a pleasure. Brilliant food and baking, opportunities to join in, and a ready (and patient) explanation for things I didn’t understand. Volunteers and crew alike are impressive.

My thanks to everyone involved

A fabulous first experience on a beautiful old ship. Skipper and crew were amazing. As was the food! Great Boat, Great Team, Great company. I would love to make a return trip and would highly recommend Pilgrim to anyone out there who is thinking about it. Sign up now! But leave a space for me please 🙂

This was my first voyage on a tall ship and I had no previous experience of sailing. Richard and the other three crew members were wonderful – friendly, calm and patiently explained and gave me confidence to help with sailing the boat. They also helped to build a warm, friendly and fun atmosphere among all of us onboard. I cannot wait until I have the opportunity to sail on Pilgrim again.

A brilliant 4 days on the mile builder voyage from Brixham to Falmouth. Exhilarating sailing along a beautiful coastline with a great crew who went out of their way to make the trip really enjoyable. This was advertised as a ‘no frills’ trip because it was a mile builder. All I can say is if this was no frills, the regular voyages must be incredible!

Well organised with professional, knowledgeable crew, many of which are volunteers. We were able to get involved as much or as little as we wanted. We were under sail for most of the time which was a spectacular sight.

We are 3 generations of the same family celebrating two big birthdays. We had a fantastic time. The skipper Richard and crew were excellent encouraging guests to get hands-on for a fully immersive experience. It was exactly what we signed up for. Great memories!

Paul and family.
