Congratulations on the RYA Qualification!

Tim Morgan: Newly Qualified Yachtmaster

Congratulations to Tim Morgan on obtaining his RYA Yachtmaster qualification.

Tim is a familiar face on several of the Classic Sailing fleet. He has worked and volunteered in a variety of roles onboard the vessels, including Deckhand and occasional Mate on Pilgrim and both sailing and maintenance crew on Provident and Johanna Lucetcia. Tim also completed his Dayskipper on Moosk back in May 2021.

Working on board boats has given me the experience and confidence I need to gain my qualifications while earning a living. Being in the trad-boat world has also given me access to an amazing community of people to learn from and push me to do better.”

Tim Morgan

Very well done Tim from all at Classic Sailing!

If you’d also like to gain an internationally recognised sailing qualification you’re in the right place! RYA courses and qualifications offer an opportunity to build confidence, have fun and are often the starting point of a lifelong love of sailing. They also make our waters a safer and more enjoyable place to be – for everyone that uses them.

Have you just booked your first Classic Sailing adventure and want to learn as much as you can before you embark? Are you a seasoned blue-water voyager who wants to turn your experience into an official qualification? While no experience or prior knowledge of tall ship sailing is needed for the majority of our trips, if you have the desire to learn more you can book a range of RYA practical and theory courses through Classic Sailing.
