Fécamp, France

Fecamp France

Fecamp has been a port since Roman times. It is North of the River Seine and the Ferry Port of Le Havre is only 35 km away. It is about the same distance from Dieppe in the other direction. Historically a herring fishing port and home of whalers in the 19th century, Fecamp has deep seafaring roots.

How to Get There

For UK travellers, a ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe is a convenient choice. From Dieppe, Fécamp is just an hour’s drive away. If you’re a fan of the rails, Eurostar can take you to Paris, where a regional train awaits to bring you to Fécamp.

For those journeying from mainland Europe, the well-kept motorways offer a smooth drive. Trains from various European cities also connect to Paris, providing another gateway to Fécamp.

If you’re flying in from North America, Paris is your likely landing spot. From Charles de Gaulle Airport, you have the option to rent a car or catch a train. Coaches and buses are also available, albeit a slower choice.

For our mates from Australia, your journey will most likely begin with a flight to Paris. From there, you can opt for a car rental, train, or coach to reach Fécamp.
