Arrecife, Canary Island of Lanzarote

Arrecife is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city on the east coast of Lanzarote with loads of culture and steeped in history.

The name, Arrecife, comes from the Spanish for sea reefs and relates to the volcanic rock formations that lie out to sea that protect the picturesque harbour.
