Job Vacancies – Paid and Voluntary

Job Vacancies – Volunteering

Many people ask.

How can I be a volunteer on sailing ships?

There are a number of ways you can be a volunteer sailor at sea in the UK. There are sailing charities that take people to see for the benefit of a sailing experience. This could be for youth, disadvantaged, not fully able people, support for traditional sailing vessels as unpaid crew.

Most of them operate on the basis that you need to pay to sail with theme first so there is a period of mutual inspection before voluntary positions are offered. In essence there is no shortage of volunteers so vessel operators can be choosy.

The big UK operators are, Jubilee Sailing Trust, Tall Ships Youth Trust, Ocean Youth Trust, and many more. Look at ASTO for other organisations.
