Pilot Cutter Review 2nd June 2022 Update

Please note many of the facilities made available to the Pilot Cutters are done on goodwill and it would be appreciated if you could thank any staff you meet and their organisation.

Handicap for the Race Handicap officer. 

This year we do require everyone cutter entering any race to submit an up to date OGA Handicap Form, 

IMPORTANT

Due to many activities in St Mawes Harbour throughout the Jubilee Weekend.

Anchoring must be 

South of a line joining the St Mawes Sailing Club Race Turning Mark and the Castle Buoy.

Thursday 2nd June

After the Race from Charlestown to Fowey via Looe Islands but safely South of.

Fowey Harbour

Pilot Cutters are not to restrict the movement of shipping in Fowey Harbour.

Gathering in Fowey Harbour 19:30 

Fowey Harbour Commissioners have kindly set aside the pontoon beside Prime Cellars. Pilot Cutter Owners to pay their own berthing fees.

Friday 3rd June

Passage Race from Fowey to St Mawes. 

Depart 10am

Pilot Cutters are not to restrict the movement of shipping in Fowey Harbour.

St Mawes Pier and Harbour Company have kindly agreed free anchoring in St Mawes Bay leaving good access for Ferries.

Weekend Race Briefing 

Race Briefing 6:30 Bohella Bar St Mawes, food available to buy. Big Paella and crusty bread.

St Mawes Sailing Club have kindly agreed for two days of racing as shown below.

Saturday 4th June

Races 1000;hrs and 1430:hrs St Mawes Harbour and Carrick Roads.

Truro Harbour Commissioners have kindly set aside the pontoon at Ruan. Cutter Owners to pay their own berthing fees. 

Sunday 5th June

Race 1300hrs   St Mawes Harbour and Carrick Roads.
