Three Unique Christmas 2022 Sailing Holidays
Sometimes Christmas ashore just gets too much and you feel like there must be a better way of doing it.
You can make Christmas 2022 a sailing holiday very different from your usual Christmas.
What you are glad to miss while you are at sea is the endless Christmas music and everlasting adverts for the latest gizmo and the must-see TV programme. (You can watch it later anyway.)
What you gain is a micro community of like minded souls, actively sailing, actively socialising together and enjoying the benefits of being in nature and working with the wind and tides.
Unlike Christmas in a hotel it is not impersonal, you and your fellow sailors all have the experience of sailing together and everyone on board from the Captain to the Deck hands and yourself help make it a very special Christmas.
Sunset to Sunrise in Antarctica
Tecla has an amazing voyage from the Falklands via South Georgia and Antarctica to Puerto Williams in southernmost Chile. I can assure you this is an incredible voyage, I have been there twice and would go again if time and money allowed. Christmas day does not get dark, sunset flows into sunrise.
Plus New Year’s Eve 2022
New Years Eve can be celebrated for the different time zones of those onboard!
Canary Island Circuit
Tall Ship Tenacious has great experience of sailing in the Canary Islands. Using local connections they have built up over the years they can give you a special way to sail and explore these winter sunshine islands.
Caribbean Christmas 2022
The Eye of the Wind is back in her favourite winter Caribbean sailing grounds. This voyage begins and ends in the superb sailing grounds of Martinique. The two nearby islands are Dominica to the north and St Lucia to the South and the intention is to travel by wind and to visit as many as practical during this trip. There will be time to explore ashore and enjoy the local hospitality.
